SOLAR ASPECTS

The tools that I have identified, designed, and manufacture are a response to the need by people forSomething that would offer a thoughtful systems approach to the conversion of people’s daily wastestream from a negative net energy path to a positive net energy path with the composting of most, if not all of a person’s daily waste.

The Whitehole composter is the designed outcome. It is the best way to compost thermophyllically all Carbon/Nitrogen vegetable waste.

1. If the finish compost has no feces from any animal it is vegan compost; the highest quality with the least possibility of bacterial or viral contaminants in the veggies to be eaten unpasteurized.
2. If the finish compost has vegetarian animal feces but no human feces, it is excellent compost with normal human dietary uses. Thorough washing and/or cooking to pasteurize is good procedure for the veggies before eating them.
3. If the finish compost has vegetarian animal feces and vegetarian human feces in it, it is still an excellent compost with a more regulated compost energy use path as far as edible veggies is concerned.
4. If the finish compost has vegetarian and carnivorous feces in it there is an even more regulated compost energy use path than the previous three compost forms; e.g. not to be used in edible veggie garden soils.

No.1and no.2 compost can be used in the food creation process for ready-to-eat veggies which don’t have to be cooked before eating or veggies that are cooked in preparation to be eaten. Of course it can be used in the no.3 or no.4 use schedule, but it wouldn’t be an expeditious use choice..

The Whitehole composter allows continuous pasteurized decomposition of material that would normally not yield acceptable compost. This is an answer to a quest for a fast, rodent proof, positive net energy composter that allows distributed generation of an appropriate use product from a known wastestream.

The Whitehole composter is not machinery but rather a heavily insulated vertical aspect rectangular box with harvest doors at the lower edge of the walls and a removable roof that allows top filling of the

Whitehole. Air comes in around the perimeter of the doors, disperses through the pile of compostables inside feeding the aerobic bacteria. This microbial thermophyllic community reaction changes the character of the compostables. Compost is the result. The outgas exhausts at the corners of the roof. This is a solar reaction that is stackable. The four different compost products are solar driven and stackable.

The rest of the tools that are designed and manufactured by Shadowbox Construction Company relate to the direct food creation process using the product of no.1 & no.2 compost processes.

These tools are an intensification of the solar stacking of your daily life: distributed generation of food and energy for local use.

The Seed Spoon allows accurate placement of seeds.
The Dibbler plates allow multiple indentation patterns for accurate and fast placement of seeds.
The Shadowbox allows fast, forced, germination of pattern germinated seeds and collated seedling transplantation.
The Furrow Rake allows seeds or seedlings to be placed with patterns it leaves on germinal urfaces.
The Potato Barn allows access, through the doors to the potatos, so the crop becomes a perennial instead of an annual, eg. continuous production instead of periodic production.
The Shelter germination table allows green house performance without the cost or space requirement.
The Whopper Lopper Chopper allows vines, shrubs and vegetable product to be cut up into small parts to increase the surface area of waste for better decomposition in the Whitehole Composter .

When there are photovoltaics producing solar electricity an electric chipper/shredder can be used to greatly increase the volume reduction of the waste thereby increasing the surface area volume and decreasing the carbon/nitrogen particles proximity to one another. This increases the efficiency of decomposition.This solar derived low density electricity stops the pollution from petrochemical and nuclear electrical production.

When there is solar derived hydrogen available, thermal processes can be integrated into the solar stacking of functions such as cooking of food, heating water for bathing, or greenhouse uses. The solar derived hydrogen can be used for high-density electricity production and/or transportation to great effectiveness without pollution byproducts.

All of these solar processes are stackable and sustainable.
